Winnie's DNA Report:
Here is what we found out about Bruno-
Apparently he is so mixed, that they could only determine that he was part dalmation and part miniature poodle. I know a dog doesn't have to look like a breed to have that breed's DNA, but I wish I knew more about the "mixed part" of him, I am surprised no Staffordshire terrier showed up like it did on Winnie's.
What do you think?
Wowee! I never woulda guessed that! So looks like Bruno is 25% poodle, 25% dalmation and 50% a whole lotta something else, huh? My mom says that dee-en-ay is some crazy stuff where it can get all mixed together and then come out in ways you'd never expect. But I guess it just goes to show you that you can't judge a doggie by the way it looks.
ReplyDeleteI had one of those dee-en-ay tests done on me and it said I am 25% boxer, 12.5% bull terrier, 12.5% dachshund and 50% a whole lotta something else, too. But no matter who's in my family tree, one thing's for certain - I'm 100% MAYZIE!

Very interesting!! Makes you really wonder how mixed up breeds can get. Poodle and Dalmation?? I would have never guessed that!! :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I've thought of doing one of those for my who-knows-what-she-is dog but I wasn't entirely sure how accurate they are. I know they only test for a certain number of breeds and if your dog isn't one of those, they just make their "best guess". But it's fun, nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteHi there, I'm curious... did you use the same Wisdom Panel test? I am trying to figure out which one to get for my pit mix! Thanks!
